A superb quality 19th Century burr walnut cabinet

A large and impressive 19th Century burr walnut bookcase/cabinet, having a wonderful figured stepped top above a single shaped panelled glazed door with a double moulded edge with raised triangular decoration in the top corners, opening to reveal three adjustable shelves, columns either side with bold carved decoration at the top on either side, raised on a moulded plinth base.  Wonderful burr walnut figuration throughout including the sides of the cabinet, a truly remarkable piece of furniture.  Circa 1850.

A superb quality early 19th Century mahogany breakfront bookcase, the stepped moulded cornice above four large glazed doors opening to reveal two adjustable shelves inside each section, the bottom section having four flame mahogany panelled cupboard doors, with two drawers above the central doors and a faux drawer either side, having decorative turned handles, the doors opening to reveal a single adjustable shelf in each section, the central cupboard having  two pull out slides above the shelf.  The front of the whole bookcase having highly decorative carved decoration, supported on a plinth base.  The bookcase is in excellent condition and each door has workable locks and keys, superb mahogany colour.  Circa 1840.

A superb quality 18th Century Italian giltwood console table, having the original veined grey marble top with a thumb moulded edge above a highly decorative carved and pierced giltwood frieze which runs along the sides as well as the front, incorporating intricate mouldings and floral shapes, at the centre of the frieze there is a highly decorated carved giltwood panel displaying various instruments, ribbons and further floral decoration, each corner of the table having panels with intricate carved giltwood patraes and supported on four highly decorative tapering turned and fluted legs.  Circa 1780.  Please note that at some point the marble has been damaged but has since been restored, there are a few scratches on the marble top (see photo's)

19th Black forest "Cave a' Liqueur" drinks cabinet

A superb quality 19th Century black forest walnut "Cave a' Liqueur" drinks cabinet, the shaped platform top having a dog sitting amongst various foliage, the cabinet profusely carved all over and incorporating engraved glass arched panels to the sides and front with engraved glass to the rear, decorative turned columns at the front with a lockable key in the central column, raised on a carved platform base with turned feet, the hinged lid lifts upward and then falls back allowing the front to be open for ease of access, comprising of four decanters and 15 liqueur glasses (originally 16) each glass etched in gold.  Wonderful quality and in excellent condition.  Circa 1880.

A lovely quality early 19th Century Anglo-Indian carved padauk partners desk, having a nice figured top with an ornate carved border and gadrooned edge, a selection of eight graduated drawers below with the original carved wooden knob handles and having carved floral decoration on the drawer fronts, with a decorative caved central arch, the reverse of the desk in the same style as the front but having a drawers on either side with a cupboard below, the sides of the desk profusely carved in the same style as the front and back of the desk, raised on carved turned feet.  Circa 1840.

A fabulous quality 19th Century inlaid mahogany breakfront bookcase, having a moulded edge cornice with dentil moulding and a swan neck pediment at the centre with decorative circular fan inlays, the frieze below having further decorative inlay, having four astrigal glazed doors below opening to reveal three adjustable shelves at the sides and two adjustable shelves at the centre, the bottom section having four inlaid panelled doors opening to reveal two adjustable shelves in each section, supported on a plinth base.  The bookcase is in excellent condition and having a nice warm rich mahogany colour.  Circa 1880.

A magnificent and excellent quality early 20th Century mahogany long case clock by Maples & co of London, having a fabulous carved mahogany case incorporating various carved shell, leaf and scroll decoration with circular patraes and rams heads, the top of the arched hood having three bold and shaped finials, with carved and pierced panels either side, the whole case is profusely carved all over and the carvings are of top quality.  The movement itself is a eight day quarter chiming movement chiming on eight bells or Westminster on four gongs with a dead beat escapement, it has subsidiry dials for a strike / silent, Westminster to eight bells and a second hand dial, it is a substantial English three train movement with steel line brass dial with silvered chapter rings.  The movement has had a complete service overhaul and is perfect working order.  Circa 1910.
